Literature Text

Christmas Eve was quickly approaching
And Santa was hardly roasting
any chestnuts on an open fire
"My, oh my, those kids desire

So many gifts this year, it's exhausting
Robots, gadgets; it's surely costing
Me a huge fortune to get these gifts
What happened to the Christmas spirit?"

Santa sunk into a deep depression
For the first time in his age old profession
Then he said what everyone feared:
"I guess there'll be no Christmas this year."

And then a shiny object caught his eye
He jumped up and began to cry
Tears of joy. "Sweet momma!
That's the perfect gift: A golden llama!"
